Oh, hello again!
It would appear I’ve forgotten about this space entirely. Which isn’t true, really - I come here every few days, watch the tumbleweed rolling by and the dustbunnies growing ever-larger. I’ve just been so busy lately… It’s funny, you’d think the more I have to worry about, the more I’d have to post about. In theory, I do have a lot to say, just… not a lot of time to say it.
I’m taking this religion course now, Eastern Christianity, and I adore everything about it. The teacher is great, the readings are interesting, and I’ve actually enjoyed doing research for my presentation (I even assigned a reading for my class). I mentioned to the professor that I’d be interested in doing research with her or someone in the department, if she knew of anybody, but by the time I got the moxy up to ask she’d already taken an assistant. Drat! But, she’s going to shuffle my name around to another professor, I think, so I’m not giving up hope yet.
As much as I enjoy my classes now, I feel a little overwhelmed. Just this week I have three response papers (short ones, but still) for my sociology class (the Body in Society), a short paper for my religion class and a presentation for the same class, not to mention all the work I’ve got to catch up on in Russian. I was sick some of last week, causing me to miss classes Wednesday and Friday, and Thursday afternoon… if only I’d known that those three hours of class Thursday morning would put me in so much misery!
Ah well, I suppose it’s good that I missed, as I seem to be healthy again. I didn’t get much work done this weekend, though, and it’s not much helped by the fact that I’ve spent most of my time either piddling around online or snuggling. Tomorrow, though, the work starts in earnest. My new goal?
Spring break in five days, and the oncoming 21st birthday.

The criticisms of my students would serve as a good warning to visitors of Seeworthy: she talks too fast, she's too hard on us, she assigns too much work, and you have to be a dyke to get a good grade.
In other words, I'm a big, fat, queer, feminist meanie, and I am totally out to get you. Graaagh!
