NaNoWriMo (Not again!)
Contrary to logic (and inspired by friends), I’ve decided to have another go at NaNoWriMo. Unbelievably, November is actually my quiet month, work-wise; with the addition of a (glorious!) Thanksgiving holiday, I’m actually freer this semester than I was last time I tried to write a novel, in November of my senior year of high school. The few who’ve read it - it’s long since been taken off-line - know that I only made it about 3/5ths of the way in and after completing about 10 thousand words, things descended into babbling gibberish, thanks to several convenient lesbo-riffic dream sequences. It was not pretty. This year has got to be better. Perhaps, in honor of this auspicious holiday (Halloween, that is), I’ll take a stab at a horror novel (pun intended).
Then again, with all the History Channel I’ve been watching lately, I’m not sure I can stomach any more goth or gore. How many times can one person hear the story of Vlad Dracula?

The criticisms of my students would serve as a good warning to visitors of Seeworthy: she talks too fast, she's too hard on us, she assigns too much work, and you have to be a dyke to get a good grade.
In other words, I'm a big, fat, queer, feminist meanie, and I am totally out to get you. Graaagh!
