La Jolla Shores
C’s mother is visiting us right now, and since she’d never been to the Pacific we decided to meet after classes and work at La Jolla Shores to watch the sunset. There was some confusion - apparently there’s both a La Jolla Shores and a La Jolla Cove, and they are not really within “walking distance” if you qualify “walking distance” as “the distance one can walk before the sun sets in five minutes”. We didn’t end up meeting in time, but C and I did get to spend some time on the beach and we got to watch the sun sink over the clouds. It was cold and windy, and we didn’t go walk in the waves because it? Looked so very cold. But we did take pictures.
Oh, and there were a couple of seals when we finally found our way to the cove.
And, in conclusion, I am participating in
this March, and if you are in a blogging slump, you should, too.

The criticisms of my students would serve as a good warning to visitors of Seeworthy: she talks too fast, she's too hard on us, she assigns too much work, and you have to be a dyke to get a good grade.
In other words, I'm a big, fat, queer, feminist meanie, and I am totally out to get you. Graaagh!
