Classy stuff from Woot
Granted, it’s only a submission for a contest on Shirt.Woot, but… really? “>”The Obesity Dream”? If you’re going to circulate the same old boring obesity epidemic rhetoric, you could at least be a little original:

There are plenty of other remarkably offensive, fatphobic designs being submitted for the “health” design derby right now. Personally, I’d either vote for this one - because dinosaurs in any context are awesome - or this one, because limes + pirates? Full of win.

The criticisms of my students would serve as a good warning to visitors of Seeworthy: she talks too fast, she's too hard on us, she assigns too much work, and you have to be a dyke to get a good grade.
In other words, I'm a big, fat, queer, feminist meanie, and I am totally out to get you. Graaagh!
Man, that shirt’s not even funny.
I think my state, Indiana ranks in the top 5 for most obese people. That shirt is petty pointless though.
I think Maria should submit her overblown obesity epidemic illustration. Hey, if you want to wear your fatphobia on a shirt, might as well go straight into self-parody.
Plus, those laser eyes just WIN.
Hiya, I’ve only just found this, even though it was posted months ago. It’s a crappy shirt, but it made me think that I’d love to wear a t-shirt that just said: “Living The Obesity Dream” on it, that slogan is ripe for detournement. By the way, I’m really enjoying your blog.
