Search Engine Roundup

Ever since the fateful day that I posted about Beth Ditto’s nude shoot for NME, I’ve been getting some… interesting hits from Google. I thought I’d highlight some of the more amusing and… interesting ones:

Tragically, I’m not getting a lot of hits for “fat feminist” or “people guaranteed to get into their top choice PhD program” or “best instructor evar.” And hey, speaking of best instructor evar, my class on sex work last Thursday was pretty awesome. How many times do you get to show the pronz to your students? Even if it is just the tame, no-nipple sample stuff, I still got a kick out of trying to explain the philosophy behind VegPorn. It’s great when my students just chill and listen to a lecture, but my favorite classes are the ones where folks actually get fired up about the readings. That’s what it’s all about, yo.

…Which I guess is my way of saying that I’ve failed spectacularly at NaBloPoMo, but it doesn’t seem so grim when some other things are equally (inversely?) rad.

haha, i have the same problem…my blog keeps getting hit for “torture sex”. since i’m usually writing about life, love, work, recipes, movie reviews…i have NO idea why.

Heh… while I do find the google searches highly amusing, I’m afraid I can’t say I’m very surprised, since I have written about each of those topics (or sort of, at least) before.

Torture sex, though… that’s an interesting one. :)

I feel your pain. An awful lot of the google terms that bring people to my blog include things like “Geek Girl Sex” or “Nude Geek Girls.”

I kind of feel sorry for them, because all they get is me ranting about sexism in comics and role-playing games.
